On the black Shabbat of October 7, Ofir Libstein, the mayor of Sha’ar Hanegev regional council, was one of the first Israelis to be killed by Hamas terrorists in an attempt to defend his family.

On Tuesday, exactly one month after the Hamas massacre, Libstein’s nephew Captain R. dedicated the destruction of a terror tunnel network to the memory of his uncle Ofir.
