Gaza aid deliveries blocked by protest of families of hostages and fallen IDF soldiers

Hundreds of protesters blocked humanitarian aid trucks from crossing in the Gaza Strip through the Israeli Kerem Shalom border crossing on Wednesday morning.

“No aid will pass through until the last of the hostages returns, we don’t transfer equipment to the enemy,” said the ‘Tzav 9’ movement, which organized the protest.

The demonstrators included relatives of IDF soldiers who fell in the battles in the Gaza Strip, family members of hostages, IDF reservists released from service, and civilians who were evacuated from their homes in northern and southern Israel.

Dozens of aid trucks were stopped and turned around by the protest, according to Reut Ben Haim, one of the protesters.

“While the people in Israel await a victory, the government is feeding, clothing, and fueling the enemy, even as it tries to kill our troops and civilians with rockets and tortures our starving hostages,” she told the Times of Israel.
